The NMCR Administrators would like to acknowledge the ongoing support from the Messerschmitt Enthusiasts Club, which has resulted in this newly formed Website.
The MEC has organised and supported many NMCRs over the years and made a significant contribution to the wider microcar community. Bob and Marg Parry of the MEC took the lead to find a new venue for the NMCR in the mid 80s and Weston Park became the new home for several years. The 1988 & 89 rallies are fondly remembered by many, and other clubs then used Weston Park as the rally base. Bob and Marg were back again in 1994 at Weston Park and then again in 1999 at Toddington. Both attracted record numbers of cars and people.
The MEC have provided financial support when they have not been in a position to run the rally and we are most grateful for this.
We gratefully acknowledge the MEC legacy funding and particularly Tony Yates, Bob Parry and Graham Taylor, MEC stalwarts.
